Jay Allen is a country singer-songwriter originally from Cedar Falls, Iowa, who was influenced by both rock and country music growing up. He appeared on Season 22 of The Voice in 2022, where he performed Cody Johnson's "'Til You Can't" for his Blind Audition and received chair turns from Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. It was his 2018 hit "Blank Stares" that really put him on the map. The song is a tribute to his mother, who suffered from early-onset Alzheimer's, and it went viral on Facebook, reaching over 500 million views. As a result of his advocacy efforts for the Alzheimer's Association, Allen has been involved with several international events, including the Rita Hayworth Gala, which have raised over $100 million for the Alzheimer's Association. He has also received numerous accolades, including The Caregiver Award from the National Alzheimer's Association. He was recently invited to the White House for a private screening of the documentary “Unconditional,” which features a song he wrote for the film. In addition to participating in the First Lady’s Joining Forces initiative, he also performed at the US Capitol for members of Congress in July. Allen was named Favorite Competition Contestant at the 2022 Country Now Awards and featured in Music Mayhem Magazine's "2023 Artists to Watch." In 2013, he made a move to Nashville, where he signed a publishing deal in 2014 and an artist deal with SONY/ATV in 2016. In 2017, Allen's song "Sounds Good to Me" was selected as Sirius XM's "The Highway Find." Currently he is headlining a 2024 Winter/Spring Tour.
